For those of you that have no problem spending a chunk of money on an HDTV, there are almost unlimited options when it comes to brands to choose from. Sharp has some of the most beautiful HDTV displays that there are. Though at a price point of 10k to 15k, these high end TVs obviously aren't for everyone. Sharp has many different levels of high end models, with price tags to match. The quality of the TV and the picture are remarkable, even at the lower range of the high end HDTVs.
Pioneer also has many high end models that will blow your mind. The picture is unsurpassed and crystal clear. Any extra components are easily hooked up with the innumerable inputs these high end models come with.
When you are looking for value in the high end brands, you are probably best off looking at Samsung models. Their high end HDTVs are indeed high end, but they tend to have lower prices. Samsung's rear projection HDTVs are considered high end because of their
performance, but their price tags lean more toward the midrange prices. Either way, you have a winner with the Samsung models.
High end HDTVs are nice because, in a way, you are ahead of the technology curve. After all, these TVs are expensive for a reason. Depending on how fast the technology advances, you could have a top of the line HDTV for several years or just a couple. It all depends on the science and production advances.
